You forgot the entire West coast.
You forgot the entire West coast.
1.) Country-Specific Safety Standards
Why, why hasn't this happened yet?
It's an impossible dream, but wouldn't it be great if there was a global safety standard set for cars?
If only it were that easy. Almost everything or at least most components are built to a different standard (FMVSS) for the US/CAN market, especially the crash structure underneath the sheetmetal.
In the meantime, we could all flood the DHS facebook page with poor reviews.
SPREAD THIS SHIT ALL OVER THE INTERNET, PEOPLE! Can't let them do this to us. Link similar articles to popular sites like facebook and reddit.
So he got arrested and could face up to 20 years and up to $250k fine for breaking arbitrary laws based on arbitrary vehicle standards?
Hopefully all the profit from trucks allows automakers to invest in hatchbacks and wagons, diesel ones at that.
Not even one cent? They can't raise the gas tax by ONE FREAKING CENT!!?
I think the milder climates of both and the low mileage people put on them are big factors in the 'apparent' condition of the cars. See Pacific Northwest cars.
That's what pisses me off about the 25 year rule. You'll be lucky if they're even driveable at that point.
Can we just kill Buick and bring Opel? The only ORIGINAL car Buick seems to make is that useless large CUV, so irrelevant I just forgot its name. Everything else are retweaked Opels. Buick is preventing us from getting small hot hatches, because it has to preserve its "upscale" theme. China can keep them. **** outta…
First thing that came to mind.
The look on his face when it said "22 years in the African bush" haha
4th gear: DIESEL ALL THE CARS
All very true.
The big three are actually pro-harmonization, likely due to their globalized lineups (except for the big 'Murican trucks, of course). http://m.autoalliance.org/index.cfm?obje…
That public transportation saying exactly describes my stance on it haha
