All very true.

That public transportation saying exactly describes my stance on it haha

Or, you know, we can change our retarded FMVSS vehicle regulations to allow smaller 4-wheel cars like Kei cars.

Fuck ethanol.

The nose always looks like an Alfa Romeo to me in the distance.

Maybe VW should stick to making European cars.

Highest transaction prices, perhaps, but our US VWs are much cheaper and decontented compared to their counterparts sold around the world.

Glad I don't drink.

Global vehicle standards already exist. It's called UN-ECE standards and there's a World Forum for Harmonisation of Vehicle Regulations. Pretty much every developed country requires or at least accepts these standards, EXCEPT the US and their hat, Canada.

That's why I'm keeping an eye on the US-EU and Canada-EU free trade deals and see if something comes out of it. I thinking Canada will at least be accepting cars with much more Euro parts in the future. I see an inevitable natural progression towards harmonization or at least mutual recognition over time.

Filled it out. But it only asked about restricting RHD cars. What's nice about Alberta is not using road salt, so it's more easy to daily drive a imported car. Best of luck to you guys.

As a former Alfa owner, the possibility that I could buy a new one with a warranty excites me deeply, and while I think the 4C is promising, I'm not holding out for a full US return. We've been hearing about it too damn long.

Lesson learned. Don't cheap out for the American market by giving us rear torsion beams. Now I wonder how much they would've spent if they initially sold them with multilink rear suspension vs torsion beam + this recall (wasn't there another related recall as well?)

DEATH TO TIRES!

Haha! Nailed it.

Nothing.

I seriously wouldn't mind that engine if the chassis and suspension are relatively stiff and the steering has good feedback. Who doesn't like fuel economy and peace of mind bullet proof reliability WHILE having fun once in a while on twisty roads?
