Great lack of affordable and PRACTICAL European cars in America. I hope we see more after the US-EU free trade deal in which automakers are lobbying for more convergence of regulations between the US and EU.

There were so many cars and engines built here that were not even sold here. Not cool. For example, the RHD 2.2 l 190 hp Accord SiR coupe and wagon during the 90s was built in Ohio and exported. Also, I heard the high MPG VW Bluemotion TDI engines were built here and exported to Europe and other countries, but never

Reminds me of Ike from MADtv

yeah, and every time a speed limit change or debate comes up "THE NEED FOR SPEED NEED FOR SPEED NEED FOR SPEED NEED FOR SPEED NEED FOR SPEED"

American Autobahn - The Road To An Interstate Freeway With No Speed Limit

God hates hoaxes

I know what you mean. VW should have offered the Polo to fill in the spot of the base model Jetta S.

The Corvair. On my phone so no picture.

I just hope all the Alfas won't be sedans and crossovers, because Americans >_<

Really wish we had more affordable European brands to choose from in America besides VW, Mini, and the Fiat 500 series.

Sort of agree with you in that regard. There's many differences b/w the EU-spec and NA-spec Jettas, though the 1.8T and multilink rear suspension on the NA is slightly closing that gap.

I consider whichever place contributed the most to its design to be the country of origin. Even though the VW Jetta is made in Mexico, I consider it German, because it was designed in Germany. I consider Acuras to be American, because they were designed in the USA and sold exclusively to Americans and Canadians,

I consider it to be German, because Ford of Europe contributed most to its design.

my '97 Accord's was replaced around 40k miles.

Nominate the Ford C-Max. For you Europeans, we get it as hydrid-only.

Shit, you're right.. DISREGARD MY COMMENT

Upcoming VW Alltrack wagon (based on the Jetta Sportawagen) coming to North America will be AWD, possibly manual, possibly diesel.

The math doesn't seem right.
