Didn’t read article cuz spoilers, but, is this game really that good even with no Nier (life, haha :P) experience?

If nothing else, this game has given us the gift of some really great cosplay.

That’s... Actually a pretty dope art style. Almost feels like a waste that it’s only being used for avatars, I would watch a Pixar flick with characters like these.
