Given that comedy/humor is subjective, this show is not going to impact everyone the same way. When you factor in misogyny, misogynoir and general color hating, wellll. Nearly all of the sketches have hit for me. The Gang Initiation was the one where I was like “Heh.” But I’m really glad they got a second season.
I had the same criticisms. Brunson is a STAR. Every time she’s on the screen...I’m engaged. I watch because I want them to get the chance other shows get to grow and expand.
A lot of folks were hating on #ABLSS early on, talking about “it’s not funny” but these are the same folks who have watched every Madea movie, TWICE and think that Black Ink Crew is high drama.
