Trump’s cabinet picks are basically an ISIS wet dream. They’re going to have an easy time recruiting when they can literally point to the anti-Islamic statements and policies of the Trump administration and say “America hates Muslims.”

I actually saw that commercial on television the other day and was so completely and utterly confused about what the woman in it was supposed to be stressed about. I thought maybe they were coworkers or friends who had been mean to her and I just missed the beginning of the commercial. I was utterly baffled.

Well, shit. I know it’s in service to selling deodorant, but that ad’s got me tearing up. Good on ya, Secret.

Yes. Revolutions suck. They almost always fail. Even if they succeed, poor people in revolutions suffer a thousand times more than rich people in revolutions.

That’s what makes it doubly infuriating; she thinks we’re actually blaming her.

But she’s on the list. She’s a smug, rich, insulated idiot who imagines herself to be a great political philosopher of the left. Nothing in her privileged and graceful life has ever exposed her to real risk or hardship. I’m sure she can endure a few tweets from Debra Messing.

Nope.

It sounds like she kicked the girl out of her house over a year ago. So, when clearly it’s the parent who stops doing their duty as a parent why should the child have to wait for them to have their day in court? She stopped parenting over a year ago.

I can see how there might be parents who genuinely cannot get past having a trans child (although I would hope that the love that a parent is supposed to have for them could overcome that). Even a parent saying “We cannot continue our relationnship” is bad, but this goes into an even worse place - “I want nothing to

It’s based in the parental consent stuff. An emancipated teen does not need to inform their folks about any medical procedure (including abortions) and in this case she is challenging that she was not informed about gender reassignment surgery. If it’s ruled in her favor the ruling could cite precedent that even if a

It could set a precedent that you need your parent’s permission to have any medical procedure preformed. Let’s be clear- they’re targeting both trans rights and women’s rights.

Let’s not forget that the effects of this could affect many more people than her poor daughter. I’m sure that making things harder for future trans minors is a nice side benefit for this piece of shit. If she’s really lucky some poor girl might be forced to deliver a baby she doesn’t want as well.

FUCK THIS WOMAN. She is not a mother. She is a FUCKING MONSTER.

Having a child come out to you as transgender can set your world reeling. Ask me, I know. But I can’t imagine never wanting to support my child in being the best human being they can be. It was that way before I knew, it is that way now.

“I’m also taking this action for the benefit of all parents and families, who may be facing the same violation of their rights—”

I think one of the most important things you can do as a white man is point out to other white men (and women) how the Trump administration will hurt them. It’s also important to call out and shut down racist and misogynistic speech when you encounter it, but we need more white voters to realize how bad a Trump

I have heard similar thoughts in the press about Obama’s “unprecedented use of executive orders” but the only presidents who have used fewer executive orders than Obama since William McKinley (whose term ended in 1900) are Bush 1, Ford, and JFK.

Really though? I’m not sure thats backed up by facts. I mean, 538 did an analysis a few years ago:

As I mentioned elsewhere, I really hope the history books also note that Obama was faced with a possibly historic level of obstructionism from Congress. So he was forced to get creative with executive power in order to govern.
