I deal with incompetence the say way, whether it is “weaponized” or not:

Take about burying the lead.... Here we are in the 5th paragraph:

I really don’t care for this study design. This is almost intent-to-treat analysis. In a treatment study, that means that if you are assigned to the experimental treatment arm, you are included in that group when the data is analyzed, even if you never get the treatment or only get it for a short time. That is a

The photo is not my track! But it was very similar (that is why I use this image to illustrate my post), although mine had a pit labne with the pit boxes. My track was set in my room on a table made of 4 4x8 feet boards. Hardly had any space for my bed! I needed 2 transformers (one per slot) to power the thing.

I tend to have a long fuse, I try and find the root cause, fix it, etc., but once I reach the point of explosion (out of sheer frustration) pull up a chair and enjoy the fireworks. Its almost never a person, but a situation (often something mechanical).

The bigger problem with this concept is that will really only move leaves and maybe some sticks. I have an oak tree that drops massive quantities of acorns, and other trees that drop a lot of twig sized bits. If all I did was push the leaves, all of the small solid matter would remain, and that stuff doesn’t break

I think it would be easier on my back to rake them into piles and then rake them into a bag than to bend over “plowing” my leaves across the yard.

I love a grits casserole and I’m glad the weather is cool enough to bring the column back!

I had never seen the “Will It Casserole” series so now I am super excited as I love casseroles, not just for their wonderful taste and combos of food varieties, but many can be made or partially made/prepped earlier which is nice for after work cooking. The coming cooler weather always inspires me to see what I can

Actual physical buttons and knobs. I don’t want haptic feedback. I don’t want to slide across a screen to figure out how to turn volume down or temperature up. VW’s and Tesla’s offerings were something I considered as my next car... until seeing the interiors. If you’re too futuristic to keep physical feedback as part

Manual Transmission - is it a “feature”. It is the only requirements.

This is the most persuasive reason to get a Twitter account that I have ever seen.

Kindness is as contagious as any virus. Unmask your kindness and cough it up all over everyone around you.

On one of my earlier outings after first moving outside the US I witnessed to grown men have the politest argument about who was going to hold the door for the other. They had arrived at the door at the same time despite there being several to choose from, both approaching from outside.

After Sandy Hook, there was a movement to honor the dead by doing “27 random acts of kindness” (one for each victim) and I started doing little things, like letting people in front of me in line at the grocery check out, etc. I had under estimated the good it would do me. In a world of hate, it feels like a tiny act

Or just buy a p-38 and keep it on your key chain. They cost less than a buck and come in handy.. The P-38, developed in 1942, is a small can opener that was issued in the canned field rations of the United States Armed Forces from World War II to the 1980s.
