You take a picture of yourself in front of the car, holding the day’s newspaper. You have not seen that in movies?

Well all pictures taken on a phone should have a proper timestamp in the metadata, and most are geo-located as well unless you turned that off.

Taking pictures of preexisting damage is great, but, will they actually believe me when I say it was there before I drove it? Is the time/date stamp on pictures enough proof, or do I need to call it to the attendants attention/document it on the rental paperwork before I leave?

I like giving them enough rope to hang themselves.

Hot take, Kanye’s always been garbage and his music has always sucked.

I’m of the firm belief its time we start chopping off the hands of thieves again.

The value of a freezer when on a food budget cannot be overstated. A lot of folks don’t have room for one, but in the long run, it can be a big food dollar stretcher, especially for produce purchase in season.

Aldi’s is your friend.  I find that I need to use the produce sooner than from other stores but they have a lot of high quality products and the prices are usually excellent.

If you can buy in bulk and you have a Food Saver it can shave some serious money off of your meat budget.

Rice is surprisingly expensive here in Japan compared to other countries, despite the fact that there’s so many rice farms. You’re looking at around $15-$20+ for a 5kg bag, it’s often cheaper to buy imported rice from the U.S. Which is just perfect, since “America” when written using Chinese characters, is “rice
