And a kiss on the (bandaged) boo-boo does wonder to ease the upset and speed recovery.

Yes, but by the time it comes before a court (or whomever would decide the case) the rental company has an army of lawyers who will have pretty much ruined my life. It takes a lot of time and effort to fight a corporate entity as a private person, and I do not trust them to take a date/time stamp and my word when they

I thought that was just for ransom demands from kidnappers.....

Taking pictures of preexisting damage is great, but, will they actually believe me when I say it was there before I drove it? Is the time/date stamp on pictures enough proof, or do I need to call it to the attendants attention/document it on the rental paperwork before I leave?

I get the notifcations on the slide show posts that someone responded, I switch browers and come to look at them. I actually laughed when you mentioned privacy. I have no illusions of privacy on this site, as its been that way for years so I see no reaosn why they would change. :)

I just cant get it to work in Firefox. I even tried cursing it soundly, which is my go-to in these situations. I went to Edge and its fine.

You can.  You learned today to look at it in a browser that isnt Firefox.

I would like to say I learned how to view comments on these slideshow posts, but I cant. All I can see if the top of the first one and then nothing but the bottom banner.

“Ash Wednesday is the most heavily attended mass of the year, drawing more people than even Christmas or Easter.” When I was growing up, the Catholic kids said they went because it was a reason to get out of school on a Wednesday, whereas Easter is on Sunday and Christmas is already a day where there was no school. I learned, (thankfully not too late) that “Perfection” is a journey and not a destination. Its great to aim for it, but you wont ever hit it, since it does not actually exist.

I just did a quick self check using their list and now I am really depressed and fear for my health.

They are popular, but I have gas & gas, with no regrets. Going back into an electric, and would not be a choice I would make unless circumstances forced me, and I would be pretty unhappy about it.  The cooking is just SO much better all around with gas.

In my observation it works both ways causing anger/resetnment. The sleeper gets angry at the waker for making them get up, and/or the waker gets angry at the sleeper for placing them in a position of having to do it. The sleeper needs to take responsibility for themselves at some point, and the waker needs to stop the

I have gotten those, put it in a slow cooker (with root beer of all crazy things) and then BBQ sauce for pulled pork. Its quite the crowd pleaser for get togethers.  Tastes like a million for 99 cents a pound a few hours slow cook time.

“...Convince your partner to force you to wake up in the morning.”  This sounds like a one way ticket to major conflict and/or a break up.

The value of a freezer when on a food budget cannot be overstated. A lot of folks don’t have room for one, but in the long run, it can be a big food dollar stretcher, especially for produce purchase in season.

There are all gas, all electric and duel fuel ranges - duel fuel is where the stove top is gas and the oven is electric. (I am in the US, that may vary elsewhere.)

I was basically talking about the oven portion, not so much the cook-top, but good advice.

Something I noticed about being able to have a gas range again after years of forced electric cooking, is that the electric oven bakes much drier. Be sure to add extra water/some type of moisture to the oven/dish or everything (especially meat) will come out really dry compared to gas. Also, the cook time tends to be
