While I have enjoyed some manga/anime live action adaptations, it seems so many of them are riddled with bad acting. I know there are good Japanese actors but why are they so infrequently not in these adaptations?

Oh god, I remember doing the same for one of the Final Fantasy games (likely 7 or 9) and Wrestlemania 2000/No Mercy because there were special custom characters that I wanted and there was no way to remember. Hundreds of pages at the local public library. Good times.

I imagine part of it is the popularity of the franchise worldwide in countries with less means per person. Easier to stick with the older gen for a while until PS4/Xbox One comes down significantly in price.
