The thing that really confuses me is that the Focus and Fusion—Ford’s two biggest selling non-crossover/trucks—were both very well received at their launch, but the Fusion’s design is now 5-6 years old, and the Focus of the U.S. is seven years old. They did the same thing with these new, much more competent vehicles

Fuck the Ecosport. I wouldn’t even trade in a fucking Aspire for that penalty box on stilts.

Unfortunately, it’s named utterly incorrectly.

Our Jeep-obsessive David Tracy was explaining how radically different the latest Jeep Wrangler is from the original Willys Jeep, being well over twice as big and sharing zero parts, but I maintain the fundamental Jeep DNA is retained.

So Porsches are basically beetles in super soldier serum...

Insurance rates.

It’s “sporty”, that gets all the soccer moms hot and heavy

I’m talking exclusively big-ish RWD sedans, ala the Stinger, and not so much just police use. Ford is actually doing the opposite of that in the US and pretty much ditching cars/sedans in general.

See definition: ponycar vs musclecar.

Is it that you want change for change’s sake, or what?  Yea it’s an old platform, but if you don’t call 808 hp change, then what is it?  If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and don’t make it into something it’s not.

And now here we are pining for full-size coupes.......

My point is about the whole, modern small cars are too big rant that goes on here. The, “I want something that’s like a 1988 Civic and safety be damned” comment is getting tired.

I chuckle about it.

Because I don’t think there’s that many of those people on the forum... they are just more vocal. just because certain people cry the loudest doesn’t mean there’s more of them.

I know if I talk about driving my Ford F350, or my full size sedan, I’ll get hounded about the “you don’t need that” remarks.

I’m amused at this forum’s demands. If some had their way, we should only drive cars that are the size of a Smart car.

I own a lot of things I don’t need. Like, almost everything I own. I’m not sure why I should limit myself to base utility specifically on my car.

Ford and I are a lot alike. We don’t really have any good ideas at the moment, but damn if we can’t find the worst possible idea for any situation.

‘FWD Mustang Stand-in’

I know this is beating a dead horse, but the stance fad needs to end. Along with the #RespectAllBuilds retort you get when you tell them how dumb their 15 degrees of camber, crazy stretched wheels, 1mm of ground clearance, etc... is.

Not afraid to say you’re going to have to explain what MLB stands for...apologies

It’s Grounded to the Ground™
