I was hoping so too, but...

Dear Audi,

It’s the FWD E2XX platform re-worked for crossover duty. Think of it as the new Theta Premium.

I really doubt most car buyers could tell you (correctly at least) whether their car is FWD or RWD. They might know if it is AWD.

“A shift toward smarter, more compact and less intrusive powertrains”

Add yoga pants. Yes, her.

Classic RWD proportions. This is also why the Tesla Model 3 & Model X look awkward and the Model S looks sexy.

This. I think Sergio bet the whole house on a Maserati/Alfa Romeo turnaround, which is seeming less and less likely every time a brand new Giulia breaks down during a press review.

Truth be told, the Cadillac concept cars peaked with the Elmiraj. The Escala is attractive, but derivative. It’s kind of a Cadillac take on an Audi, which IMO, is a step backward.

What worries me the most is that Old GM might “get the message” and make the entire upcoming portfolio like the XTS and XT5. After all, the XT4 will be based on the Chevy Malibu platform.

Jeep Yuntu? More like Jeep Grand C90. Amirite?

Now playing

A thick sedan, you say? Aku must’ve ordered it:

If we’re keeping it 100, it’s not just the men, and it’s definitely not just the older ones.

FWD

Inb4 “Hurr durr issa boat/FCA reliability/who needs 840hp/it’s too big”.

It’s a “cute” FJ. I’m sure the LuluLemon crowd will eat it right up.

Wish I can do that. I really do, but at 6'4 I can’t fit in anything short of midsize comfortably, even though I usually ride solo.

Cadillac needs to target Mercedes-Benz. Moving downmarket like you suggested hurt their image and they still haven’t recovered. Buick already covers that market, GM doesn’t need two brands competing in the same space.

Don’t let some of the other Jalops fool you into thinking every CUV that doesn’t come from Germany or isn’t a brown diesel wagon. Certain kinds of CUVs/SUVs need to be celebrated. This is one of them.

Am I the only person that thinks that the 3rd generation GS is one of the most well-aged cars of the late 2000's?
