My mom died of dementia last year and it is not an escape by any means. People think dementia is just confusion or memory loss, but it’s so much worse than that. As their brain degenerates, their body slowly shuts down. They lose control of basic bodily functions and become incontinent. In end stage dementia, the brain

I doubt he was able to fake it well enough for the prosecution’s medical expert to determine he isn’t competent.

It’s an awful, awful disease and the thing is, its’ not like he’ll be released. There’s no escape from this and no quality of life going forward.

On the flip-side, I doubt that many people would be willing to hire a defense attorney who turned around and publicly admitted their client’s guilt, regardless of circumstances. I assume he’s still employed to speak in Jeremy’s defence and interests by whomever has power of attorney for him.

Because he still has to offer a vigorous defense. He’d be disbarred if he stood there in front of a bunch of microphones and said, “Hell yes he did it.”

There’s also the argument that kind of highlights the inherent nature of our justice system. It’s not to rehabilitate or reform, but to punish. If the person being punished will never realize they’re being punished, there’s little point.

Well, I guess it’s unfortunate that he won’t see any jail time, but frankly as someone who’s seen multiple family members succumb to dementia, I don’t feel like he’s gotten off scot free or anything.

Conservatives: “Listen woke Libtards, gender is about XY chromosomes and nothing else. You can never change your biological sex. Science doesn’t care about your ‘Identity’ or ‘Pronouns’”

He should be disqualified for making “heart hands”. Bond would never do that, and neither should anyone playing Bond. Go run on the beach with some tween girls.

“Mid-season finale” makes no sense as a collection of words and should never be used again.

And Hollywood Babylon is a notoriously inaccurate account of Hollywood scandal, and Arbuckle is now widely believed to have been innocent of the lechery the film alludes to.

I don’t think fiction has any inherent obligation to historical accuracy, although creators can fairly be called out for claiming their work is accurate when it isn’t. (I don’t know if Chazelle et. al. have done so re Babylon.) Yes, I know that most people learn what little they know about history from pop culture,

It is a hyperactive interpretation of history.  Margot Robbie certainly looks like no silent film actress of this era, that’s for sure.

And yet people accept Avatar’s premise without complaint? This is outrageous. Like “Jem and the Holograms” outrageous. It even hits Okona levels of outrageous.

Chazelle’s problem is that he’s inspired by earlier directors inspired by cocaine, like Martin Scorsese & Paul Thomas Anderson, rather than opiate users like Abel Ferrara.

Whenever I hear about Daniel Craig complaining about working, I remember he’s married to Rachel Weisz. I probably wouldn’t want to leave the house either if that was at home.

Cheap thrills AND a pretty boy? Go on...

Howard dying was probably the most shocking part of the last season of BCS. Nacho telling off Hector was the moment I think about still though - just such good acting by Michael Mando.

They also have back massagers and a decent selection of body pillows so good luck keeping me from getting off. 🤷

I think the ER doctors of the US are thrilled about this development.  Less things to have to remove from butts.
