Hmm, if Ras is shown in flashbacks, then could they be setting up Bane as an anti-Batman? Rather than just a henchman, they switch Bane's backstory to being trained by the league of shadows and showing Batman what he could become if he didn't hold to his rules?

I have only just started playing DA:2 (read, about 5 hours in) so have done most of the Kirkwall-based missions and am about to head on the Deep Roads expedition.
