22 February for PS3 and 360 apparently
@the_loxster: I completely agree. FFVII was such a big change from any other game I had ever played. It was epic, and I don't mean graphics wise (which I didn't really care about) but it had such a strong story and a lot of freedom. I feel like they've forgotten those things.
So... Spider-man, Batman and Superman are all British? Nice.
You can now run and shoot in Resident Evil. Surprise!
@Slagathorian: Save the trees and kill the children.: Fair point. In that case, it makes sense to draw attention to FPSs due to the similarities in lack of innovation causing less sales in other markets.
@Myzery_clown: I think the Shame-Same mistake was somewhat Freudian...
@Slagathorian: Save the trees and kill the children.: I don't think the article was necessarily saying that because a lot of FPSs are very similar in format then that affects JRPGs. What it is pointing out is that while Sakaguchi thinks lack of innovation is why JRPGs are failing, western shooters don't feature much…
"Neither did soliders" - Neither did soldiers
@Willardo: Dragon Quest - there's a little bit too much going on with the dual-fighting simultaneously on TWEWY to justify it as a morning game. Having tried both on my morning commute, DQ is nice and simple and you can pick it up and put it down even if you only feel like grinding for a few fights.
Batman: I already called in another thread what I think will be the plot, and it accords nicely to what has been leaked here, i.e. that Bane will break the Bat early on, and the film will be about his redemption, re-training, finding a new sort of love with Catwoman and the city realising they can't do without him.
@ron2112: I guess it's more dangerous drug addiction rather than super soldier serum.
What astounds me is that everyone keeps going on about how they can't see Bane and Catwoman interacting to team up. Why is everyone so sure they will team up?
@k4man: Hardy can definitely bulk up no problem (look at him in Bronson) and height can always be fiddled with - look at the Hobbits in LotR. But I don't think Nolan will try make him very tall and rather keep it a straight performance...
@Nightshift Nurse: I always thought they could achieve proper sandbox by using a comic property done in a style of, say, Ultimate Spiderman on PS2. You can legitimately tone down the graphics and in turn can make a much larger game.
I think a good plot would involve Bane breaking Batman fairly early on, and then seeing how Gotham would be without Batman until everyone realises he is a hero and crime rates have shot up again. Meanwhile, we follow Bruce as he retrains and relearns what it is to be Batman and at the same time finds a kindred spirit…
@jayntampa: Then you should also check out The Asylum's version of Sherlock Holmes in which Gareth is Watson. It has dinosaurs!
@SolCross:
@Platypus Man: Yeah, I guess a story has to evolve over time when you're writing 7 books and sometimes that means altering things. I appreciate the reasoned responses to the question!
