I'm not sure it's ever been used. I think it was mostly to change the ending. I haven't seen every version, but I was led to believe (I think by an AV Club piece) that Thurman kicking the bully in the nuts was also added (and doesn't appear in the Director's Cut)? But I'm not sure if Zwigoff filmed and then cut that

Emily Blunt was great in Cishetero.

It was sort of interesting to me when I read some Danny Elfman interviews around the time of Spider-Man 3 where he spilled the beans on how Sam Raimi and he had a falling out during Spider Man 2. He said Raimi kept trying to get him to do a cue from Hellraiser, and he got frustrated and told them to hire Christopher

Same. Love that one. Great nod to Badlands by paying homage to Carl Orff's Schulwerk.

While I agree that seems lazy, isn't it also possible that these directors like Nolan fall in love with the temp music and essentially ask Zimmer to recreate it?

I love that too. A jacket with giant shoulders or pants that pool around their ankles. "It's expensive, it must look good!" No one tell these guys about tailoring.

It's come a long way since they acquired Joseph Abboud, but yeah…there are better options, particularly for people who only need a suit for weddings and funerals and the occasional job interview.

His Broken Arrow score with Duane Eddy's twang guitar is pretty great (later used in Scream 2 to introduce David Arquette's character).

I think Stankonia did that for a lot of people.

Yeah, odd choice. I'd rather see someone like, I don't know, Alan Arkin? Dustin Hoffman?

Yeah, I always thought part of the problem wasn't the all women cast, but that they needed a bigger stars to bring out the non-fans. McCarthy is a star, of course, but she was playing against type and this certainly wasn't like one of her usual vehicles. People know Wiig from Bridesmaids and SNL but she doesn't earn

Unfortunately, I think the same cast coming back except maybe in cameo or alongside other new cast members is a pipe dream. I'm guessing Sony is going to want to distance the new stuff from Answer the Call as much as they reasonably can.

I agree. Only if he came to it organically would it truly be worthwhile.

Feig was a bad choice, both as writer and director. Get Edgar Wright on it, same cast or not, I don't care. It'd at least be worthwhile.

I gotcha. There is definitely a need for that kind of movie and surprisingly few actually stick around for decades. I'd add Home Alone to that list.

I wouldn't say by default; it was a cult movie that slowly became a holiday TV hit.

A Christmas Story is the same way. Funny movie that's been run into the ground by endless TBS showings and everyone quoting it and buying up the merchandise to the point where I almost have contempt for it. I hope Jean Shepard's estate sees some nice dough at least.

You know what's not short? His shorts!

I do love that movie but hate its fans. Call it the "Grateful Dead Effect."

my god, does he ever change out of the dumb jersey and backwards hat?
