Under Romanian law, prosecutors may keep the Tates imprisoned for 180 days without charging them, as they build their case.  This isn’t the United States or England.  On the 181st day, prosecutors must charge him or release him.  

True, but this is a man who told the world that he moved to Romania for their weak rape laws and because the country is so corrupt that he can participate.  Beyond that, he explained this pimping business for the world (and police) to read.  So, yeah, kinda stupid.
