I have no plans on introducing my wee one to video games. If she takes an interest then I'll go from there and that could tip the scales further in favor of a Wii U purchase but at this point, she's way too young anyway - just a toddler.
And that's the point, right? Just your opinion. You think the PS4 has maybe one good game and I think the Wii U has maybe one good game right now. My whole point is about personal preference and using that among many other factors to make a value judgement for your own personal purchasing decisions. The Wii U just…
Ssshhh, I spent most of that time sitting in my office at work. I've barely been at my computer tonight because I was busy playing the Destiny Alpha.
You're probably the tenth person to say that to me. See my other replies below. It's not about the price tag, it's about the value for the use I'll get out of it based on my personal preferences.
You're probably the tenth person to make that point at me. Scroll down and see my other responses. It's about personal preference not solely a dollar figure.
I don't care if a game is Vita only, the system fits my life right now very nicely. Tearaway, Hotline Miami, Gravity Rush, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Guacalmelee!, Muramasa Rebirth, Fez and Borderlands 2 are all games that I played on my Vita and nowhere else that I have loved. I can't dictate what is worth it for…
"Literally every single one of those games looks mediocre at best" to you. You forgot that part where that's your personal, subjective opinion.
Well, 150 would be the low end of a refurb. I could see a $200 new system without a pack-in a few years from now.
I don't mind. It's the internet, I'm used to it.
In that particular case it doesn't bother me because Mario Kart doesn't really flip my proverbial switch. I'd be in there for the new Zelda and Windwaker HD eventually along with maybe the new Star Fox. I'm generally an offline, single player guy so I could easily wait until the system's end of life hits before…
All the best to you as well. I have also enjoyed our chat.
That new Zelda really caught my attention so it's on my radar for whenever it actually comes out. Outside of that it's really just maybe Bayonetta 2 that appeals to me. A new Star Fox could be good too but we haven't really seen much from that yet.
It doesn't seem like humans are good at making things better over time, just more sucky. I know there are nice little happy pockets on the internet but those are few and far between.
For sure. There's a lot of misplaced hate too. PlayStation fans curse Microsoft all the time for "stealing" third party exclusives without realizing that's it's the third party devs and publishers that are willing to take Microsoft's money over consumers' that makes that situation truly possible.
I'm not bummed either but I get why fans are mad. Vocal fans have been asking for this game only to think it's finally coming and then have that wrenched away from them is rough. As one who loves the Vita, I'm hoping for a few more games of that caliber on the system but I'm getting very accustomed to this being…
The anonymity of the internet seems to be simultaneously the best and worst part about it. Hooray! We can talk about this thing we love but of course, I can be a dick to others since I never have to see them face to face. It just brings out the worst in people.
The gaming press seems all over the place. It's hard for me to call them "press" because there's no real impartial reporting. Outside of the fact that previews and reviews are mostly subjective, peoples' personal preferences and bias show through so much in coverage which only rallies some and spurns others.
Yeah, I got way more engaged in this discuss than I normally do but for some reason, the more unreasonable people got with me, the more fun it was to respond in a calm, level headed manner.
I've seen a lot of cynicism about this year's E3 showing overall but I came out of this week feeling really excited for what's coming. I think everyone had a good showing (except for the Vita unfortunately). It was a good show for everyone and on topic, I'm more interested in the Wii U than I have ever been. Yay…
