Yeah, it's all personal taste. The idea that I'm somehow wrong for not wanting a Wii U yet or it's wrong for you to not want a PS4 yet is completely silly. That is, despite the fact that four out of five responses to my comment seem to indicate that I'm some kind of ridiculous Nintendo hating idiot who has no

I don't play many RPGs so I can't recommend much there. I keep hearing that Persona 4 Golden is fantastic so there's that. Action RPGish games like Soul Sacrifice and Toukiden might be good options. There's a Y's game and a Tales game that I've seen positive responses to as well.

I can see a $50 drop in the next few years as manufacturing costs go down. If it doesn't go down, then I might not get one. Gaming time is at a premium for me anyway and will only get tighter as my little one gets older so if the system never provides a strong enough value proposition for me then I may pass on it

You say from your perspective which is absolute truth and binding to all gamers.

For sure. I mention that I'd want one at a lower price and it seems like people think I'm saying the system is utter garbage and no one should pay the ridiculous price Nintendo has the balls to charge people. I think the Wii U is a great system, I'm just in no rush to get one. Fanboys be crazy, yo.

I find as life gets more busy - especially with becoming a dad last year - that my free gaming time is dwindling. I really only have time for one, maybe two active systems so a Wii U as a third system is low priority. What a horrible problem though, having tons of great games to play.

What kind of games do you like?

Yeah, that's why I really try and think through these kinds of purchasing decisions (not saying you don't btw). I don't have a ton of time for games so even though I haven't played my PS4 a huge amount since launch, I've really enjoyed it since it still has taken up a lot of what gaming time I do have.

I do feel like a refurb Wii U at $150 in few years with Zelda already out would probably be worth it. I feel as though Nintendo lost a few points with me due to how they ran their business during the Wii's time. Nothing irreparable but since I like a lot of third party content, Wii U is a low priority for me.

Yup, I totally agree. If I had the time and money to maintain a serious gaming rig, I'd likely consider going PC with a PS4 for exclusives. Since that's not really where I'm at, I'll stick with my PS4 and Vita - which I both love. You're right, this E3 showed that it is a great time to be a gamer (even if the rest

I'm pretty sure the price will go down over the system's life. The Wii launched at $250 and you can get one for $99 now. It will get cheaper down the line and when it is, I will be more likely to seriously consider getting one.

It's one of those mileage may vary situations. I would hesitate to buy a set-top console but that being said, I did buy a barely used Vita via Kjiji and have had zero problems with it.

If there's a $200 refurb now, I can see there being a $150 refurb in 2-3 years. I'm in no hurry.

The rest of this year will on PS4 be Last of Us, Destiny, Assassin's Creed and Dragon Age. On Vita there's Rogue Legacy and Hotline Miami 2 and maybe Freedom Wars. I don't have a ton of time for games anyway since most of my free time is spent chasing a toddler around my house. That's really why I can wait for a

It's about value to me. If I buy a Wii U it will be a third system solely for exclusives. For the amount I will use it, $200 is borderline too much. I'm in no rush so if I can get one for cheaper in a couple years, that's more sense to me as a consumer. I'm not generalizing and saying a Wii U isn't worth $200, I'm

I think it will be the other way around. I think games will stay the same and the system price will go down. You can buy a new Wii for less than what it launched at.

I've checked Kijiji every once and a while but I'm always leary of console purchases from strangers. That being said, $150 isn't too bad. I like that Nintendo has refurbs but I'm just in no rush to buy one.

If there's a $200 refurb now and the price of the Wii U drops within the next 2-3 years, is it not reasonable to expect a drop in the refurb price as well?

I think you're right. I'm in no rush to get one though. I'm thinking in the next couple years range so I can wait for a lower price down the line.

I'm not saying that I want Nintendo to drop the cost to some crazy rock-bottom price. I'm saying that given that there's a $200 refurb now, it's not out of the question for the price to drop $50 over the next 2-3 years.
