Boo on the title snark.

yes, this city used to be much more interesting and much more fun. but, it’s still the only city in the country where you can surf fantastic waves and camp in the redwoods on the same day. i would hate living here if i wanted a cosmopolitan experience. my neighborhood is basically a picturesque small town.

there are many ways to describe San Francisco. only an embittered soul would refer to it as filthy and disgusting.

So like every major American city then.

Look, I don’t really care whether you like SF or not. But the dirty part is pretty well confined to downtown/soma. That’s a very small part of SF, geographically. I just tire of reading this complaint from people who clearly don’t know SF.

If you don’t like it, you can like...not live here or not visit.

It’s an *amazing* quality of life if you have either *lots* of free time and a little bit of money, or lots of money. If you’re middle-class, then San Francisco is basically a big middle finger. Unless you’re gay and middle class, in which case it’s a middle finger slid skillfully and pleasurably in and out of your

300 million dollars.
