Making the assumption that a character with the name Nagini is “supposed to be a particular racial or cultural heritage seems fairly racist in itself, though.

Since when are names inherently associated with racial heritage?

Itsaart made no indication whatsover that Rowling should “hate Jews.” It’s you that is associating Jewry with Zionism.

Clearly they’re referencing Rowling’s support of Israel: a colonial, apartheid state with systemic/systematic racist policy against Arabs and Africans.

I dont agree with Rowlings politics, but I have no right to determine what she does with her own work.

Once again, I’m not talking about The Dark Knight—I’m taking about Batman Begins.

Thats the same rationale for accusing a sex worker of being abused or a sexually-promiscuous woman as a slut. Armchair psychology is not helpful.

A feminine perspective in female-produced porn is no guarantee of less misogyny or male gaze. Many, many women revel in patriarchal fantasies.

You had a point until your assertion that video games promote violence, which despite decades of research has no supporting evidence.

I simply do not understand how porn has regressed from the full-blood incest of ‘70s porn to fauxcest.

I can’t think of any other fansite that had the privilege of actually visiting the set of The Dark Knight and interviewing Chris Nolan. It was a rather big deal for the Batman fan community still reeling from the Schumacher films.

The gender-essentialism regarding witches versus warlocks and the female Supreme/male Alpha was very reminiscent of the Bene Gesserit and their aim to breed the Kwisatz Haderach in the novel Dune.

There certainly was a warlock on the council in Coven, though he was never explictly defined as one, nor even as a “male witch.” There was a lot of speculation at the time as to what it might mean.

Yeah, $10 a month is bad, but having faced $80 a month under the same conditions from In-Shape I would’ve loved to have had a Planet Fitness to scam me instead.

Same, though only with fried shrimp or shrimp cocktail!

Ledger wasn't in Batman Begins.

I know the context for viral that you meant and that was exactly how I used it as well. I do believe this fansite “moved the needle,” so to speak.

In terms of “Batmania,” the Nolan trilogy was definitely a viral success. We hadn’t seen that last since Burton’s Batman films. Batman went from Shumacher joke to pop culture relevance again.

It’s just strange that you would believe a Western writer plagiarized an obscure Japanese film. Why do you presume that two people could not have independently developed a similar concept?

I mean, Batman-On-Film was integral towards the viral success of Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. There was and still is something to buzz within the consumer base.
