Lol at this. I will clean the bathroom or kitchen or whatever and the girlfriend will complain that I didn’t do it good enough and that she should just do it to her liking. I mean, if you get mad that I am not optimising the dishwasher, then feel free to take over that job and get that extra plate in there. But keep

Middle-aged while male in a relationship here. I have no children, but I know women who got pregnant by choice, and some not by choice. The by choice women obviously kept to term (or early in one case!), but the not by choice women made different decisions (none of these were with me, for full disclosure).

Do people really drive around looking at houses and offer less because the neighbor 3 blocks away doesn’t have a ferrari in the driveway?

Honest question— from someone who doesn’t know anything about real estate or taxes: How does this work?!?

it’s adapting a type of serial storytelling characteristic of the Marvel Universe’s first 30 years.

the lobbyist started a dark money group called Kingdom Principles

I’m with you. I don’t much watch wrestling now, but I do recall being a kid in the 80s and loved watching the WWF and NWA stuff and seeing the heat between the face and heel build over the months. This is getting into the early 90s I think, but the Flair-Sting rivalry seemed to be an event that was built up over many

I know this has been covered before by lots of different people, but it is fucked up that WWE can get away with both 1) calling them “independant contractors” so that they avoid providing various benefits, but also 2) can prevent them from leaving the company or working for another promotion at the same time.

I work in DC and don’t quite see the problem with these scooters. Plenty of tourists use them (and have a few times when I have needed to get to work from Union Station but don’t want to deal with a crowded Red Line), and in general people are pretty polite about leaving them upright out of the way of foot traffic.

Seeing Ellicott City get taken out twice like that was definitely rough, though. But notice there was a big thoughts and prayers response around here and not much else.

AS a Baltimore guy who commutes to DC daily, fuck all of this and fuck Hogan. The MARC train— the commuter rail that runs through MD to DC— is in desperate need of upgrades. Adding tracks, adding trains during rush hour periods, and improving trains to make the ride more comfortable, would go a long ways towards

No worries. And yes, it’s a messed up world with some people!

Oh— I know. I was a postdoc at UCLA for three years, and lived sorta near there. Westwood and the surrounding area isn’t bad. It was a bit of a shock when I drove down to USC to meet with a prof there to discuss a research project. It’s a very different neighborhood. But man. Commuting from the UCLA area to the USC

Oh, look, I am not describing my views. I am talking about what I heard amongst the social groups I hung out with (meaning, what they had heard from their social groups, etc.) while I was living there. (And working at UCLA.)

I think the strangest thing to come out of this whole college admissions scandal is that USC is somehow considered an “elite” university.

Pins rarely come out of nowhere anymore, especially at WrestleMania.

Yeah, I think some people have written on this. If you’re a guy like me in your 40s, you have a whole host of media fiction that you grew up on— from Star Wars and Star Trek to the A-Team to various comic book heros, to Transformers, etc., etc., etc. It is much easier for a movie studio to simply draw upon those

Avenatti allegedly lowered his price to $22.5 million to get rid of it in “one fell swoop.”

Is it me, or is that letter using two spaces after a period to begin a new sentence?

Yeah, that’s not how it works. Fortunately, CA (assuming you’re in-state) has a quality higher education system, and I hope she is able to take advantage of another of their quality schools.
