So, why is there no article on what was actually announced at the event? I know the FF XII HD Re-release was announced to come to US in July, but that’s only because a friend of mine was there at the press release and told me about it. I’ve been waiting here to read up on all of the announced releases, but the only

I definitely agree that VII was a starting point for a lot of people, and that definitely influences a lot of opinions when talking about games in general. Everything gets compared to the first experience, for better or worse. I definitely compare most Final Fantasies to VI, which was my first foray into JRPGs in

“I’m curmudgeonly “old guard” (I started with the first game, and I’m one of those “edgelords” that doesn’t care for VII very much), but I really loved what was done with the first six chapters or so.”

I have seen so many MST3K episodes, and yet I do not know this one... which one is it, pray tell, so I may hunt it down in my collection and view it post haste?

I wouldn’t label Final Fantasy Explorers a JRPG. It’s a mix of Phantasy Star Zero and Monster Hunter series with a Final Fantasy paint job. I still have it on my 3DS, but my group at Streetpass San Diego played it a total of two months... very sad lifetime. The only good thing to come out of buying it is it got me

As you can tell from my first sentence, my dying 3DS was what started me hunting. Not exactly me waiting for it to be Christmas before looking, just not having had a pressing need until recently. And I wasn’t looking for any specific version, just a New 3DS XL, but everyone is apparently out because Nintendo is

I’ve been hunting for one for the past two weeks to replace my dying 3DS... absolutely insane that every store is out, and there’s no sign of Nintendo shipping more until next year. I was going to comment that Walmart seemed to have them listed for sale at a 50% markup ($299), but realized that Walmart.com apparently

Nevertheless, you had a choice whether to watch the trailers and play the demos, and you chose to. If you know you are going to pick up the game after the first trailer (which is where I decided I would give it a chance), and don’t want the story to be spoiled for you, then it’s on you to not watch future trailers, or

Fair enough, sound reasoning. Some day they’ll put in a method to change the pokeball appearance so you can get the awesome designs easier. I’d probably use them to color code my pokemon by type.

Hau is another example of how Pokemon Sun and Moon has changed the traditional formula in a slight way. The person your character meets early on is not constantly trying to challenge you, but rather is the example of another way to enjoy the pokemon games: exploring and having fun. I find it rather refreshing to have

If you’re farming for a shiny that isn’t a starter, it’s actually more effective to use SOS battles to check for them. Bring a ton of healing items, and some Adrenaline orbs, and some Antidotes (I’ll explain that item in a sec). Bring a pokemon with False swipe and get the first one you encounter to one health, and

Does this mean we can legitimately get a Shiny Zygarde now? I never knew I actually wanted one til right now.

So, for Streetpass San Diego’s event yesterday, I played for 22 hours straight to get a Ditto so I could mass breed the starters for other members. I had one rule, which was announced: I would accept anything in trade for them except Yungoos/Gumshoos named with a Trump reference. With this announced, I still had to

You have Ghost and Goblins and Excite Bike lower than Simon’s Quest? No offense, but that’s pretty bad taste. Simon’s quest was a terrible game, hounded by glitches and sincerely poor translation, making it actually unbeatable without a guide (not even sure it had one outside of an issue of Nintendo Power).

As someone with severe Gender Dysphoria who is pursuing transition, this trailer made me tear up. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing it now, thank you for posting it.

Of the initial reveal, my favorite was Rowlette, the first grass pokemon that appealed to me since 4th gen’s Turtwig. Of the second forms, I started liking Litten a little more (and I haven’t liked a Fire Starter since Gen 1). With the reveal of their final Evolutions, I am in love with all three of them, which is a

They’ve always been kids, just in BW and XY they went with young teens instead of ten year olds.

That is terribly incorrect. There were a ton of people who were swearing up and down that this one guy making Link female was destroying the history of Legend of Zelda, ruining his daughter’s gaming future, etc. It was insane. Most of the really bad comments were deleted, and I’m sure there were a few bans.

The fact that people freaked out so much over than astounds me... and not in a good way.

If my only exposure to this game was Highlight Reel, I would swear it was the only track in the game... so damned over played.
