COTD. Good god I wish I could give you all the stars.

Only it looks like the “fun size” candybar version when parked next to a 60s mustang.... I need more old Celica in my life....

From what I have been hearing, they have recieved numerous offers for it as-is already, but they are going to restore it. Hold it now anyway since next year is the 50th anniversary, get it restored to sell at auction and the anniversary alone would artificially inflate the price higher than it would be at any other

I take back my comment about the headlight cutouts possibly looking good in body color in the previous post... There is nothing that could make this car look good. McLaren can make some impossibly gorgeous cars.... This is a massive miss.

Those headlight cutouts ruin the look of the rest of the car. Maybe if they were body colored it would look ok, but in carbon fiber it is just offensive to the eyes.... Have I finally hit the point where I think exotic cars look kind of crap? Possibly. It is a big day.

I can tell you, from working in film with some of my own cars, that nobody on set gives a single damn.

Agreed that the minimums should be raised. NOT because there are people with six figure cars around, but because not all accidents involve only 2 cars. I was the last car in a 7 car wreck, the lady who caused it had the most base insurance out there and they refused to cover anyone beyond the 2nd car in the accident.

I wasn’t a huge fan of episode 2, but everything else is great. The problem is people tend to pick through the years and years of TG episodes and only think about the few that are completely brilliant. They forget that the majority of TG episodes are just good, not great, and that they are all just fun and

Is it the same car? No. It doesn’t matter if you feel like it is the same car, every single peice has been replaced so it is completely different than where you started. That does not mean that your personal attachment to the car has changed, or that it feels substatially different, or anything like that. It just

I didn’t catch where this was filmed, but where I live we are required to have some form of warning before the crest of a hill that workmen are on the other side, even in dry conditions. What they are doing is dangerous for the public and the employees involved, and the blame rests squarly on Comcast for shitty

I don’t know where this is filmed, but where I live we HAVE to put some form of warning on the uphill/crest of a hill if we are working on the downhill side of it IN DRY CONDITIONS. Even if it wasn’t required, I would flat refuse to work on a crew who was led by a cheif that did not do this. It is safty 101 for the

We do not live in a democracy, we never have. We are a democratic republic, and that distinction is an important one. The Electoral College is unneeded in a democracy, but it was set up because it was believed that the general population is too stupid to be trusted with being the final say in who gets elected and they

Honestly, I never even noticed them in the first episode and only noticed them visually in the third. The second episode though, holy hell, you can HEAR them in every single studio segment and all through the Vulcan review. I assumed it had to be something to do with being in South Africa and was waiting for them to

It was a great episode. It more than made up for the 2nd episode and keeps my hopes up for the show going forward. If you didn’t like the episode then how did you ever like Top Gear in the first place? It is more of what they have always done. Is it perfect? No. Are there things they should cut and change? Of course.

Of course he did. Every driver needs a bit of a break when they decide to move up to a real motorsport and start driving prototypes.

Honestly, I just count my Prime membership as one of those life fees that you have to pay. Realistically $99/year isn’t that terribly much money and I save far far far more than that by having that majority of my non-food purchases shipped free to my door rather than having to go out to the store. I don’t know about

Minimal supercars. I’m tired of the competitions between two sub-3 second cars to see who can get to 60 in 0.000001 second faster. I want cars that I drive, cars that I have wrenched on, cars that have an impact on my life. That is why I loved the big challenges and used car competitions of the old Top Gear. It is

Thats what these are going for now? Damn, my 97 LX450 might have to hit the market soon. Built very similar to this one, but less miles, cleaner interior, and in black. Absolutely love these trucks.

Man, thats rough when I’m still mourning the loss of my own gorgeous e34 535i at the hands of a woman with an SUV too large for her to handle. That said, CP all day every day. There is no way to make it worth the investment. Yes, parts for everything are readily available and not that expensive, but e34's in general

Ooooooooor.... Just don’t do heroin. Seems like a fairly simple life choice to me. I don’t get the sympathy people shower drug users with, you aren’t helping by trying to convince them it is the fault of someone else or that it is a disease. They chose to use, they chose to drive while high, they chose to put the
