I think the marketing behind it is that it will encourage people to use that $6 to buy something else. If you have $6 sitting in a digital account you are probably more likely to buy that $50 or $60 game than you would be if your account balance read $0.00. That’s just my thought.

I just got the Wii U after weeks of debating. I got the Mario maker bundle thinking “I would not be interested in that game but at least it’s a freebie I wouldn’t mind trying” I want everyone to know that it is an amazing game and definitely worth it to buy alone even not in the bundle.
