Your problem is that you’re looking for logic where there is only hysterical moral mania. The irony being that those who lambaste climate change deniers and anti-vaxxers (rightly so) for being anti-science quickly degenerate into the same witch burning moralists the instance science goes anywhere near concepts like

In all fairness, you are one of the few writers at this site that has thus far managed to keep that know-it-all, millennial snark out of your posts. I would hate to see that change.

We don’t need to ban or pro-actively survey Muslims (or control them whatever that means), but we do need to actually have control of immigration. Done right it can be positive to migrant and host society, but the current situation in Europe and to a lesser degree N. America is a demographic disaster waiting to happen

Yes, previous eras. Christian culture was far more violent (both internally and externally) at various points in the past than it is now. The Enlightenment and modernity (after the spasm of the world wars) largely pacified Western Christianity. Not that the West became less violent, but that the reasons for violence

Who’s going to be a bigger threat?

You’re comparing state actors to non-state actors; likewise you’re confusing actions done by Christians with actions specifically motivated by Christianity. Hiroshima may have been bombed by a Christian nation, but religion wasn’t the primary motivation for it (WWII was a competition of two primarily secular visions.)

You’re blathering rant might convince you, but you simply list a handful of random atrocities carried out by white individuals over the past few decades without in anyway comparing them to current Islamic sponsored attacks in scale or rate, which is all that is really relevant here.

You wanna blame christianity for everything self-professed christians have done...

I have some experience at this and have maintained lucid dreams for what seemed like several minutes or so at a time. The most important thing is to keep some type of sensory stimuli going; the easiest being to rub your hands together constantly or to hum to yourself within the dream. The mind has difficulty changing

Good argument, ramble with some jargon about some jargon and then dismiss into a safe and known category. What’s really sad is that people like you don’t comprehend that you are just the other side of the coin to the Trump, breitbart, and Infowar “realities”. Both worthy of each other.

Sadly, no, it’s not a joke; I wish it were. Reading though your posts, though, it’s very apparent you’re the kind of person that’s easily “shocked” by views contrary to your own; generation snowflake no doubt. But the simple fact is that criticizing Islam in the West results, in the very least, a social media campaign

The difference is that you are allowed to criticize (even vilify) Christianity, but not Islam. If progressives and humanists 2-4 centuries ago treated Christianity with the same deference with which they currently treat Islam the modern humanist/secular revolution in the West would never have occurred.

And terrorists can look like anyone. Sometimes they look like Muslims. Sometimes they look like Christians. Here in the U.S., they look like white Christians more often than they look like brown Muslims. True fact.

You seem to have some... “issues”. A broken caps lock key apparently being one of them.

I mean an explosion, there’s no oxygen for combustion.

Explosion, no oxygen for combustion in the Venusian atmosphere.

Impossible on Venus.

Uranus.... ur anus.... your anus.

You’re presuming that the author (and similar activists) actually want a conversation. It kind of reminds me of when a Jehovah or other evangelist knocks on your door and says they would like to have a “conversation” with you...

What’s stopping them from just owning their philosophy? Lay it all out there.
