I only played someone else’s copy since I didn’t buy it from GameStop and a few levels in I dropped the controller in exhaustion. Just wave after wave of enemies and button mashing and no notable skills, the repetitiveness killed me. Does it end up getting any better?

I still can’t beat that damn boat boss (after around 50 tries). I’m just bad at Souls-ish games I guess (I STILL can’t beat the first boss on the bridge in Bloodbourne). But even after giving up I always come back because this game is just fun. The combat is so quick and fluid, I find it more enjoyable then my time…

I think I read a rumor that for the 30th anniversary they’re going to release all the games (1-9 maybe) on one disk. I really hope this turns out to be true and they use the old sprites for 4-6 (My first official run through for 6 was with the ugly mobile graphics, it’s not the same).
