I’ll use this moment to mention that the MJR Southgate theater is in the southern suburbs of Detroit, downriver. There is only one multiplex movie theater within the City of Detroit proper (all 140 square miles). The Bel Air (Phoenix chain affiliated), on Eight Mile Road on the east side of town.
