I'll wait until someone makes that new battery until i get 3DS. I did the same thing with my G1 (cell phone). My wife uses the stock battery and her's lasts the whole day with light use. Mine, I run using a battery I got on ebay and it runs for 3 days with light use... 2 if I'm on it a lot.

I'm cool with the no racing aspect. I actually hate when games force you to race when you've been doing nothing but button mashing the entire time you were playing until then.

I'm leaning this way myself, I have always ONLY used the fire starters but Smugleaf looks way cooler than tepig... maybe I'll get Tepig if I pick up white... MAYBE. I may also paly with the water one if I get the inevitable, Pokemon Grey.

i'm the same as you.. I won't buy anything except the guides... It's just way more convenient to sit with the book open as opposed to in front of your screen IMO.
