He didn’t say he was the son of THE John Delorean of fame and infamy.

That was the case for Cadillacs - my 1990 Fleetwood has the fiberoptic cables going from low beams, high beams, turn signals and brake lights so that you can tell if a light was out.  For most cars (I also had a 1975 Cordoba with the “tell tales” and fuel pacer) it was an actual lightbulb which was just indicating the

I can’t believe you wrote about our childhood friend the “Glow Worm!!!”

People really need to embrace the old VW philosophy of pulling enormous loads (e.g. 5000lb Vanagon Westy Diesel had about 46 hp) with almost no torque. It gives you time for mindfulness and all that important stuff that we are just realizing we didn’t know we forgot about.

Everyone please keep buying all these shiny new beasts so I can take them off your hands in a few years after you have paid for the depreciation plus a dealer showroom remodel.

Early 90s Park Avenue ultra. Some say they were trying to look like a jaguar but in my opinion this is a very successful design on its own that always turns my head. For whatever reason the very similar Buick LeSabre does not look nearly as good as they kind of cut off the back end incorrectly.

Not only has this aged beautifully thanks to a handsome design (especially the doorhandles and tail lights) it was an amazing car for its time and may have been the last truly great looking Nissan.

Yes to Lincoln LS

I like that you printed those two pictures – the car only looks good if you have the original aluminum wheels in the top pic. The plastic hubcaps ruin it.

Now we’re all going to have to go back to Cadillacs original three series fighter!

Nice!

As a 20 year old college dropout/construction worker I cross shopped Golfs, Tercel/Paseo , Honda Civic, etc. and ended up with the best looking, almost best handling and def. most affordable ‘sports’ car available new in 1991 - Sentra SE (not SE-R which was 2K above my meager 10K budget). That car was fun, reliable,

Does my Fleetwood count? Has the “real” American car ride, button tufted leather, vinyl roof, skirts but a bit updated with FWD, fuel injection, etc...

Crushed velour be damned! Its all about the button tufting and a fine leather will do like on my "new" 1990 Fleetwood.

After all the teasing that this news might be announced at CES I think we are all sorely disappointed by this weird Kia soul half wit abomination. I can’t even remotely understand why they would design something that looks so much like every other front wheel drive front-engined vehicle at the car show when they have

Wow - I didn’t think you could design a car with worse exterior visibility than a Chevy HHR, but kudos to Nissan.

Mmmmm. Apple is going to sue them over this “slide to unlock” feature. But at least we have the first car that looks like an app!
