And when you’re the 1% and want to complain that you aren’t the 0.05%

I sympathize with Jennifer, but at the same time, there are times when the smart thing to do is to keep your mouth shut. And when you’re the 1% and want to complain that you aren’t the 0.05%, that would be the time.

While I admire her honesty, doesn’t she have a BFF to vent to? And wouldn’t that BFF tell her, “Maybe keep some of this shit between us, huh?”

Except if he’s not ‘a racists,’ who is? He has a history of discriminating against black people, he says horrible, hateful things every time he opens his mouth, and he follows and re-tweets white supremacists and went out of his way to avoid denouncing David Duke/the KKK.

I think he hates them just fine, it’s just he’s rich enough to insulate himself in most cases

He definitely is, it’s just not the cross burning robe wearing variety. His history with the his apartment buildings demonstrates that he is of the upper crust “we don’t associate with those people” variety that work to ensure their country clubs and fine dinning establishments are entirely white and that the only

Meanwhile, rapist Brock Turner gives speeches at college campuses....

The Bundy Ranch sniper sent condolences, saying, “Try not to be Black.”

Double standard? What double standard?

Tom Cruise was right — Matt Lauer is glib.

The team’s owner, Bill Lynch, said that he decided to silence Rapinoe’s protest because he didn’t want to “subject our fans and friends to the disrespect such an act would represent.”

Judging by the FB posts of my crazy right-wing aunt, white people are the true deciders on how oppressed minorities and LBGTs are.

I agree. Bill Lynch’s grandstanding and performing a disrespectful act by denying Megan Rapinoe’s right to peacefully protest as she sees fit was definitely lacking nuance.

The flag and the anthem mean something to the millions of blacks and other minorities that get discriminated against systematically in this country, then get told to shut up and get out when they want to start a dialogue about what’s going wrong and how to fix it.

Aww did the protest make you feel uncomfortable? Next time black people better ask if you’re ok with it first before protesting.

This is the Land of the Free, dammit. Conform or else!

This whole thing could be avoided if we switched the anthem to James Brown’s “Living in America.”

White hypocrites: “Black people should protest peacefully, not loudly in the streets.”

btw, it should be noted that Mark Cuban has voiced support for Kaepernick, while Rodney Harrison probably gave the dumbest anti-Kaep take of all, so the problem isn’t necessarily divided among racial lines. However, it bothers me how people in position of power want to force their perspectives on people with less

Those against Kaepernick; Roger Godell, this guy, “anonymous NFL execs”, John Tortorella, and Donald Trump.
