Much of the joy I feel at watching Johnson fail is just a fantasy that I could watch the same from Trump. I know the British system has a lot of flaws and failures but god damn would it be nice to see some fucking action on our end like they are seeing.

America got a lot of things right with this whole “democractic republic” thing but damn if Britain doesn't have some things we should borrow. Could you imagine something like this in the US? I'd like to but sticking my hand down my pants is frowned upon at work.

Calling it now, all that cash is gonna disappear into a thousand different kickbacks, bribes, etc. before an inch of wall is built.

Well, if it’s like other DoD projects then we should look forward to that $3.6 billion taking 10 years to go through the Pentagon’s acquisitions and contracting process before going to a approximately 20-foot cinderblock wall that somehow explodes when it gets wet.

Marks. Con men refer to their targets/victims as marks, not cash cows.

By the time this is all done, no president in U.S. history will have done as much to funnel tax money in to his own bank account as Donald Trump. We are all just another cash cow to him.

HE TOOK THAT MEAL TO FLAVORTOWN!

I cover this in my latest documentary, ‘What’s Up Doc[umentary]?’, which I’m sure you’ll shrug indifferently to.*

“foregone conclusions and easily Googleable facts”

Your daughter is wise beyond her years. Good work.

The full exchange went like this:

Pattinson will be fine. Excellent choice.

I don’t know how she is in the film (well I’ve heard things but hearing isn’t seeing) but in the book I felt like she was a symbol of Eddie’s fear and repression, alongside his mommy issues. I suppose you could also interpret asexuality, rather than homosexuality, but there were various elements that made me lean

“(What won’t be familiar is an additional subplot that implies, without making explicit, new information about Richie’s sexuality.) “

That’s disappointing. I didn’t think Chapter One was that scary either, but my hopes were that because it was so focused on children that they would really go for broke in the sequel and could terrorize adults.
