haha, what. You can disagree with their take on things, but to accuse them of taking money from Epic for good coverage is absolutely ludicrous. These are the guys that are blacklisted by Bethesda for unfavorable coverage, and have done numerous deep dives into serious issues in the industry.

But yeah, because they

To be fair, its been long overdue. Gamer Gate was a trash attack on women in gaming that literally was widely accepted by way too large an amount of the population of gamers and many game journalists too and that was purely to abuse women. Regardless of the claims of “Ethics in Journalism” no proof of poor ethics was

My condolences to the family and those affected. If you are suffering thoughts of suicide, please reach out to someone near you or national hotlines.

his sister’s letter states that he was a victim of abuse and battled various disorders. we do not know what exactly that means, but one could infer that he may have been abused as a child, and this may have been a case of the abused repeting abuse they suffered, and that was what she was referring to. Again, we do not

Zoe Quinn did not kill Alec Holowka. Substantiated allegations of abuse which continued into this very summer did not kill Alec Holowka. It is very hard to know what to do with tragedies like this one when he was both victim and victimizer. What we must not do is erase the very real harm he caused many women, no

What a terrible situation all around. Just heartbreaking to read about and I haven’t even played the game (been sitting in my backlog for months)

The people who would do such a thing were never fans of the game in the first place. The themes are the tonal opposite of what they stand for. Sadly, hypocrisy hasn’t stopped them before.

GG has already forced both Zoe and Eileen off Twitter. Amongst the multitude of reasons this whole situation is awful is that it’s already being weaponized by the worst people on the internet. GamerGate never went away, but I’m dreading that it’s about to make a loud, ugly, giant resurgence.

My favorite conversation on general chat last night was some asshole complaining that “snowflake kids these days” ruined WoW by demanding all of the modern conveniences WoW now has, only for someone to point out that WoW is 15 years old, “kids these days” don’t play it or care about it, and it was the old generation

There’s a limited number of QOL features that I think all version of wow should have, but I think we can all agree Blizz went overboard.

I’m surprised there isnt an article up on it yet

I remember there was an honest to god academic study done on player behaviors surrounding an early WoW bug that was basically the bubonic plague.

It’s understandable that a game like WoW would smooth over any points of friction as the game continued to grow. If they didn’t, new players would have to play for months just to catch up to the end game.

The community is the best part of classic WoW. The Stormwind celebration parade they gave the world first level 60 was pretty crazy.

Ross Geller is one of the most toxic characters to have ever been on television, and we’re supposed to think it’s cute. Or at least funny enough for the entire show to have resolved around shipping one of the worst couples ever.

I’ll be the first to hop onto the “Friends isn’t nearly as good as you remember” train, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was awful—well, not the first four or so seasons, anyway. It was a competently written with a charming and likable cast that was a clear cut above the Caroline in the Cities and Suddenly Susans

Absolutely. I think it’s unfair to bash Friends because I think sitcoms in general haven’t aged well. How many popular comedies nowadays even have a laugh track? I think the actors really grew into their roles over time and still to this day there are many, many funny scenes I can recall.

I think Friends is a good show but I was excited to read this article because Friends fanatics are some of the worst white people ever. Just INSUFFERABLE.

I mean, I think it is a decent sitcom of its era, not the best but also not the worst. But it being treated like an all-time great timeless show I think is, in my personal opinion, crazy.

Could not agree more that this show is overrated. Its huge popularity on the streaming services is baffling and upsetting to me
