What prithee is a rake & scrape? All I can think of is music from the Bahamas.
Not sure you’re up to speed on the actual range of a Lucid at highway speed, but it’s much further than your 350km qualifier.
in what universe are EVs not a proven tech?
I like it - I really do. And you might be right that it’s the nicest looking 911 you can buy new.
1st Gear: I see this as both good and bad. Good in the sense that a clear message was sent to Ford management that many people want electric vehicles and electric trucks. But the bad side is that Ford can’t produce them fast enough... likely because they can’t get enough battery cells.
The Hummer hides it’s bulk like the Fantasia hippos in tutus
Yes, the ridiculousness here isn’t that the totalitarian Chinese have locked down a city of 25 MILLION people to the point where people are starting to run out of food and water and are being forced to remain in isolation.
For all the hate we have for them, modern traction/stability control systems are what make cars like the Mustang GT accessible to the general public. I keep the car in sport mode at the track, specifically because managing that kind of power is difficult.

Holy crap a 16 year has a 20K for a car. When I was 16, I had a decent job and my budget was 2K, what’s the inflation adjustment for that?
Wait, I just looked it up, it’s about 5K
Get the Subaru, I would just get an 11-14 WRX hatch as they offer nearly the same speed and a better ride
Buy something inexpensive! You’re most likely to get in an accident before your break it. Don’t waste $20K on your first car at 16y.
There are no $10k ICE cars anymore either. Heck, there are barely any $20k ICE cars. That price range has been ceded to the used market.
A new car in the US that’s only $10K would be welcome by many no matter what powers it. Unfortunately, that price point will limit you to new motorcycles.
I think the REAL constraint on EV adoption is for people that don’t own a single family home.
Not here in Oregon, or in New Jersey...
FIFTEEN MINUTES? That is truly ridiculous
The #1 cause of fuel pumps being slow is that I’m already late to wherever I’m heading.
