That’s not how it works. On a 5c, the OS takes your passcode and combines it with a unique hardware key to create a pretty much unbreakable AES key to encrypt the storage. Removing the storage from the OS (and the unique hardware key) basically leaves the FBI to try to crack the (basically uncrackable) AES key.
