Slapped together Everest modification...

I’m leaving a comment here to let you know I may have read the article. I will say something contradictory to the article to hopefully get some stars like, “I wouldn’t buy that unless they offer a manual and a turbo.”

Nope... you are wrong:

Leia makes a brief appearance in the final scene of the 2016 interquel film Rogue One, receiving the plans for the Death Star as a lead-up to the beginning of A New Hope. Since this movie takes place prior to the original Star Wars trilogy, a very young Leia was required.[30] To achieve that effect, a computer-generate

Wasn’t whatever uncanny valley is for me... thought her mouth moved weird... just like Tarkin.

Technically it’s been CGI’d then... whatever you want to call the technique.

Body and expression actor... still had a CGI overlay.

CGI aside... I found Leia’s full appearance to be unneeded. I would have preferred a reflection in the window or some such thing... a more mysterious ending.

But... I like making the whoosh noises....

Curiously wind noise does not equal low drag... rode in a sail plane and it was louder than heck!

My dad told me about running across one of these in his youth. Apparently him and a friend pulled up to a light next to one in their Chevy. he said two young ladies were in the front and smiled and glanced at them. His friend gunned the Chevy’s engine jokingly and the gals motioned to race. He said once the light

I’ve found that a lot of cars are like shoes, kind of awkward and not quite comfortable when you get them, but you slowly get more comfy after time.

2 doors please! Unless you are a weirdo and call the hatch a door.

Better than the boot, which I never understood in principle... you are parking somewhere you shouldn’t be, so we will put something on your car so you can’t move it from where it shouldn’t be.

That assumes we have any kind of evolution happening right now. Technology and medicine have almost eliminated natural selection, so I think this not a discussion that can be had.

Actual Titles:

I didn’t think it was great at all. Stylistically, yes it was cool. But wow, logic holes galore and the premise was just ridiculous. I was especially bothered by the ending, which I won’t spoil for people, but it was completely unsatisfying by every measure.

I would agree with you except that if the water is no longer being pressed down, it doesn’t mean it would bounce out that quickly. Of course I realize physics are broken for cinematic effect.

It seems to me that the water wouldn’t just “pop” out of the pool unless the ship was jostled in some way.
