Although I do like the look, how much room/practicality are you gaining? Like 1 cubic foot?

No kidding. Make sure your breath is fresh, car is straightened up and no jokes are cracked if you want to get through quickly.
I loved the granny shifter I had in my Tribute even though it blocked stuff on the center console. I actually prefer an open passenger area for a passenger car rather than the cockpit feel they are slapping in everything.

I had hope for the liquid electric fuel solution, seemed like a good compromise for the range solution while keeping thing purely electric. Has anyone seem any updates on this tech? http://green.autoblog.com/2011/06/09/mit…

Maserati? Has a little fish face to it...
Link!

I rarely look at mine... (use the digital readout) so it will not be missed. Although not quite impressed on the center blob they have there.
Sounds like a cheap RC car!
I was going to make a comment... but I just tire of MINI's schizophrenic product development.
Never buy the cheap T-mobile Flux Capacitors... overload every time.
Were they driving a Batmobile F1 powered by a black and decker drill?
I agree, especially with a whole bunch of flickering gifs at the top of the page.
It is essentially a mini CX-5.... same platform. That being said, the CX-5's handling is great.... and it will be wonderful hunkered down to the ground!
