I have no problem with retro design when done right. I see it as this way, there are elements on cars as designed object that we just like, no matter what; such as a voluptuous fender curve.

What bugs me about the design is that the turn signals are pretending to be headlights and headlights are desperately trying to be hidden in the design... like no one will notice the light blaring out of the two square holes on the sides.
Wow. That is a really lame wheelchair solution. I remember the Karsan V1 was supposed to have an "electrically powered wheelchair ramp with pop-up side rails for safety can be controlled by both passengers and driver that can be deployed from either side to allow curbside access." (from their site)
I've never thought the new vehicle had any drawback beyond it's horrible design.
