Let’s not pretend like pedophiles aren’t drawn to organizations and professions that give them easy access to children.

“...a Christian nonprofit seeking to end sex trafficking, in part “through prayer.”
“Keep Robot Brothels Out of Houston” sounds like a protest sign you’d expect to see on Futurama.
I don’t see how sex robots are all that different from dildos or flesh-lights. Inanimate objects used for solitary sexual pleasure, aka masturbation. Until we get to a point where AI is good enough to cause morality issues, but that’s going to be an issue society-wide, not just sexually.
Prostitution needs to be legal.Pronto.
...sexbot transmitted diseases...
2. The idea that porn is the cause of sexual abuse in church is both laughable and tragic. Just let your pastors, preachers, etc. be sexual. But like, consensually.... with adults.
Yeah as someone who’s had his wife suffer through postpartum to the point of our family nearly falling apart and nearly committing suicide before she got psychiatric help, Megan can go fuck herself with this slightly minuscule line.
“It is indeed another story about a woman whose problems are, in the grand scheme of things, slightly miniscule.”
Which is why I was surprised by the reviewer’s assertion that Marlo’s problems are “miniscule.” Maybe within the context of ethnic cleansing or hurricanes, but at a personal level new motherhood (especially with a couple of kids already) can take a massive emotional and physical toll. That seemed terribly dismissive.
I kind of anticipated the end just from seeing the trailer. A few minutes into the film, I was sure of it. Was it super obvious to anyone else?
She might have been referring to the idea that she experienced it herself, thus she knows the topic from that angle. It’s a movie, not a documentary.
Fight Club Mary Poppins.
JAYSUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously...GAVE AWAY THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!!!!!
Holy crap
There are spoilers and there are spoilers
Good God
okay, but...you not only gave away a major spoiler but told us how it ends? Review Writing 101: don’t do either of those things.
Charlize was amazing and Diablo is fearless.
What I took from it, this idea of “What has my life become, who am I now, and what would my younger idealistic self make of me” was perfectly served by the narrative device they used.
Your younger self wouldn’t hate you, he/she’d look out for you - cos you’re still that…
WTF? I was looking forward to this one and you ruined it. Seriously, as a mother of 18-month old twins, I get to see 1 movie a year in the theatre and now I have to pick another one.
You REALLY need to add a spoiler warning to the heading of this article. This is seriously not cool.
I don’t care about this film so much, but you really should add a spoiler warning for those that do.
