This is becoming a thing in my area, too. It’s so bizarre. People will come to a dead stop from like 60mph on a country road to let someone turn in front of them. It’s so stupid because traffic behind them has no clue what’s going on, the person waiting to turn has no clue what’s going on, and all you’ve ended up

There are lots of things, mainly knowledge retention and application. Specifically, I have noticed a dangerous trend in my area concerning right of way etiquette: “Dangerous courtesy”

When chain-link fence is your design inspiration

To think some excec looked at that beak and thought, Yep this looks good...build it.

The CitiCar electric car from the late 70's:

Also MN/Xcel resident and I agree. My power bill comes through with a “compared to this month last year” comparison and is always significantly higher even though my energy use is always lower. They’ve already hiked their rates significantly enough.

Minnesota resident and Xcel customer here. While I can definitely see the benefit of having a large utility company maintaining chargers, let me get this straight:

so woke.

My trust issues run waaay too deep to ever consider putting my car on Turo, or using Turo from the renter side. People who use this site might as well be aliens to me.

“... and she is an actual German from Munich who now inexplicably lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. Why Cinci? I couldn’t say, but I also can’t recommend it.”

I hate it with my entire heart and my entire soul. I’ve dedicated a small portion of myself strictly to hating it. “Oh you should be more positive it’s just a truck lol I tow my boat with one it’s actually really good” I do not care. It’s disgusting. It’s an amalgamation of every single evil thing that humans have

Tarp, shovel, zip ties, maps of remote areas, latex gloves and bleach

I’ll be gas only until charge times are comparable to gas filling and highway range is easily 400 miles. Not trying to be contrarian, I’m just on of those outlier cases that drives 1500-2000 miles per week in my personal vehicle. Today for example, I drove 419 miles.

I‘m no fan of taxis but the playing field here just isn’t level. Another big business scam that will hurt workers. Not to mention that low population density areas will still need cabs

I don’t know about other drivers that go fulltime, but a typical weekend day for me is around 200, 250 miles.

Prediction: Uber will virtue-signal non-stop for the next 7 years about how “green and environmentally responsible they are, at which point they will then quietly sweep the “EV only” idea under the rug and move on to their next scheme.

There was a glorious brief period of time in the mid 80's when each of the Big 4 motorcycle makers had a full line of 2 stroke sport bikes for sale:

One .45-caliber automatic, two boxes ammunition, four days’ concentrated emergency rations, one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills, one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible, one hundred dollars in rubles, one hundred dollars in gold,

Two Strokes are nice because you can do this

California’s trying to become our nation’s second Third-World state, behind Mississippi. How can you ban gasoline cars in 10 years if you can’t fuel EVs? It’s like the state is living in a fantasy realm.
