Thanks, I had forgotten that commercial. I once came across a "cheap" 928S that was nearly that bad, but the engine seemed OK. Nearly pulled the trigger, but having 2 track bikes, a street bike, and 2 cars meant time/money was going to be an issue. Hope it found a good home.

Junk is frequently more fun than new. Just check out LeMons sometime.

And yet another pic gets inserted into my wallpaper rotation. I love those cars.

But here's the thing. Whenever you drive down the road, you're seeing automobiles that have been shipped across international lines. BMWs. Hondas. Toyotas. Kias. Even the four first-generation Audi Allroads that are still moving under their own power. Many of these cars have been shipped across world borders, on large

On a test drive in a Corvette, one guy I worked with got pulled over. He did talk his way out of the ticket for overly tinted windows, and they were nearly opaque, because it wasn't his car and he had the work order with him. He did get one for not wearing his seatbelt, which was his own damn fault.

Heh, post it if you still have it. And if you ever catch me doing something stupid on cam, which wouldn't be hard, post it and let me know so I can share it with my friends. Nobody laughs harder at me than I do.

As an auto tech, on the rare occasions I have noticed a dash cam, it didn't matter to me. I try to treat the property of others like I would expect them to treat mine. The worst they will get from me during a test drive is some running commentary about other drivers being idiots. (Which is why the sound on my

I am not a BMW fan, but that is on bad lookin' muthafukka.

This is Jalopnik, and as much as I love this site, the irrational love of recommending used German cars as practical and reliable is becoming comical.

Sometimes you just find the vehicle that just fits you. The one that does everything you want it to and puts a smile on your face every time you fire it up.

I am a big fan of the Volvo Amazon. But I freely admit to possibly being biased by the one person I knew who ever owned one. A distractingly pretty, smart, and funny girl I used to work with. She even drove it aggressively.

A well used Countach is actually a good driver's car, allowing for the heavy controls and visibility issues. A Countach (or any other car) that has been a garage queen it's entire existence will be horrible to drive, since none of the shortcomings have been addressed, and time does damage even without mileage.

I love the look of the 4c, but the angle in the lead photo looks like one of the Micro Machines from the 90's.

You are spot on with that post. As an auto tech, I have had similar conversations with the German car fanatics telling me about how my 23 years in the trade is all wrong, and that the cars are amazingly reliable. Then I find out that their 4 year old car has 23k miles, partially because it has been in the dealer for

Heh, might be the best plane/song combo ever.

Heh, I did move out of there many years ago. But that being said, I learned a whole lot about car control from driving my '79 Pinto wagon through my first couple of winters there. A manual trans combined with some cheap tires made for some drives home from school or work that were entirely sideways after a snow
