Benjen is not a zombie. It he is the same “cold hands” from the book, then the logical conclusion is the children who he is working for can do a bit of the wraith magic too (they created the walkers) and their version doesn’t make you into a mindless zombie, but something closer to the night king.

The next book will never come out, because Martin realized long ago he fucked himself into the same “well i need all these far flung characters to be in places which are far apart quickly to have this thing finish out” that the show is solving by going fast travel is a thing now.

Season 1-5 Sansa is stupid, because she is a child. Her entire story line in the books and TV is “school of hard knocks: intrigue edition” I do realize though, both in the book and the show, how people tire of her whinyness and being so naive to the detriment of her family.
