Shit. Didn’t get the memo.

Thanks! Have a great day!

“Hurting” is probably a bit strong. I get that it’s just a sports blog. But it’s becoming incrementally more and more irritating to find actual sports content sometimes between the cross-posting and the ads trying to get me to watch an ant movie or buy a vacuum or whatever. Newspapers had this same problem which is

Not a counterpoint at all. I LOVE the Ashley sports stuff, she’s amazing. The Pokemon thing was hilarious.

Well played.

This from someone who just posted 5 versions of the same response?

No, and I’m sure I’m in a minority but judging by the stars and the comments I’m not alone either. If you made a product and a small but dedicated percentage (who knows - 5%, 10%, 20%?) of your consumer base had a problem with the direction your product was headed, you’d want to know about it, right?

I’m only giving the generic response to people who make one of the two generic responses to me, which seem fair. It’s gotten way, way worse since Gawker died. Between the cross-posting and the advertising to watch ant movies or whatever, the crawl has become a nightmare to scroll through and find actual content

Tell you what - when I hear a response that isn’t one of the two generic knee jerk reactions, or just a personal attack, I’ll stop posting a generic response - fair?

Well this turned ugly. Have a great day!

Uh, OK. Thanks for the feedback. Have a great day!

Jesus, three posts in a row. Nice work. Have a nice day!

Thanks! Have a great day!

Actually, I’m individually responding to every comment and trying to generate as much discussion as possible so the editors pay attention. If enough people complain enough times and generate enough buzz around the issue, something might change.

Ok, that one made me laugh. Thanks :)

Pasting my generic response to this response:

Probably not, but this was more of a comment to the editor than to the other commenters anyway. Like I mentioned elsewhere, I’m in the minority I suppose, but I’m not exactly alone either. If 10-20% of your product consumer base was unhappy with a direction you were taking your product, you’d want to know about it,

I’m not positive that’s correct - I think Deadspin has to decide to cross-post it. Ashley had an article about this a couple weeks ago that consisted of humorous texts from her to the editors of the other sites (Jez, Jalopnik, etc.) trying to get them to cross-post her stuff.
