"I don't care if someone death threats me," said the kid who had never received a death threat in his obscure little life (and who thinks 'death threat' is a verb.)

Really? "Literally everyone" who has a public presence has people threatening to kill and rape them on a daily basis? That's seriously the best excuse the GG babies have got these days?
I thought a whole lot of people were upset about kotaku posting this article, but then I realized most of the comments were just you.
Whatever the reason - it's worth highlighting.. People need to know how bad it gets.
Really living up to your name there huh? Dam I've seen you all over this thread.
It is not sarcasm and I agree with everything you said before and just now. it should be common knowledge that suggesting there might be questionable content in video games would result in death threats, rape treats and open declarations that one hopes horrible terrible things happen to her. This is the logical…
PREACH IT! I'm also so sick of these women and their "opinions" on things. They need to go away and be out of the public eye. To be seen (rarely) and not heared. And yet we're called sexist for this.
Go away.
Yeah, I don't get it. Luke's choice, I suppose, but in my mind, if you make public threats, you don't deserve the benefit of anonymity. I can't really think of a good reason to the contrary, but maybe that's just me. Sources deserve anonymity. Whistle blowers. Private correspondence. This? Nah.
Oh well.
Develop thicker skin? Really? Are you going to blame the victim? Yes, victim blaming seems to be a dirty word, but it is what you are engaging in. But the thing is, she shouldn't have to ignore it, because this sort of shit shouldn't be ignored or just passed off as "that's just how the internet rolls, bro". Because…
Anita Sarkeesian is great. And talk about fucking strength, being able to continue to do what she does, while receiving this shit every day! What a hero.
Well, she just announced two new video series coming out of Feminist Frequency. Sounds like she's pretty well-focused on her goals.
She posts all the twitter handles on her Tumblr.
Anita didn't censor them in her own post, which is linked to in the article.
I feel like, at this point, she should develop thicker skin, ignore the hateful comments, and focus on her actual goal.
Abso-fucking-lutely.
@femfreq hope you get presents and nice things happen to you!!! I really appreciate your work!
what irks me is the people saying she lumps legitimate criticism with these morons. She doesn't. The signal to noise ratio for her must be crazy.
Shedding light on the constant abuse someone is receiving (for the crime of stating an opinion in YouTube videos) is not "bringing it back from the dead". It's showing us all that this hate campaign has not "died down" despite you being bored with the story.
What's the problem with shedding more light on the fact that a lot of people give gamers a bad name by being total cunts? It's an ongoing problem, and it's worthy of discussion. If you don't like it or won't see it, go stick your head back in the sand.
