This is appealing from an integration standpoint, but with new wi-fi standards emerging and home automation linking through Apple Homekit, Amazon’s Echo/Alexa still relatively nascent, I’m going to say now is a bad time to upgrade any home automation hub or wifi router.

I gotta say, selfie-sticks do sort of solve a problem; if you have a partner or a kid and you’re somewhere that you’d like to capture “family memories” a selfie-stick beats the hell out of asking strangers who take horrible pictures.
