It’s a videogame around which large gatherings occur, both officially and unofficially.

“It’s heartbreaking and uplifting and hopeful all in one concise and beautifully drawn and written package.”

Read the manga, thought it was great. Hope they can do it justice in the run-time of a movie.

I’ve never had huge expectations for this but I’ve definitely been holding out, hoping that it ends up being something special. I really like the idea of patience being integral to the game, yet I’m also totally unsure as to whether or not it will actually make for an enjoyable experience.

Y’know, I could get behind this. MonHun doesn’t really have anything BUT a cool setting to play around in. There is no plot for a screenwriter to scoff at, and ruin.

Great news in my opinion. The western fanbase for Monster Hunter feels smaller than the games deserve. Hopefully this gets more gamers interested in the series.

The whole system has a great rhythm that felt lacking, or at least incomplete, in previous demos.

While I think the original Paper Mario RPGs are definitely better, I really enjoyed Super Paper Mario. It was incredibly charming and mixing the series conventions with platforming mechanics was actually pretty fun. As a spinoff, it’s pretty great.

My first Final Fantasy, my first RPG, and a game that shaped the entire course of my life. This is the game that taught me that not all fights can be won, that reliance on anger and revenge can end in disaster, and that badassery can come in any sized package. I fell in love with this game, and I think that along with

Any meaningful comparison between cybernetically enhanced fictional characters and real-life marginalized people falls down upon a moment’s examination, of course. Unlike real-life immigrants and people of color,Deus Ex’s augs really are inherently dangerous—some of them can become invisible at will and fire swords

The quote from the E3 interview was that optimization was very difficult and they even debated reducing the number of visable monsters on screen or the draw distance of rendered objects.

I don’t see Dragon Quest 7 getting delayed. That’s just a localization job, not a new development.

“The Great Wall is fantasy, but The Washington Post points out that having Damon as a European mercenary who shows up to save Ancient China could be perplexing when considering the country’s real history of oppression under European imperialism.”

It’s telling how all the ones you’ve listed have Polygon Pictures involved. They’re great at this stuff. CG is good/great with someone who knows how to work a camera in real life, and it shows. I couldn’t stand Berserk because it was deliberately trying to hide as 2D while using cheesy camera angles and rails.

DDOS is the weapon of script-kiddie edgelords.

One of my personal favorites:

I do think there’s something interesting in the older age of a large number of the Overwatch cast, which seems unusual in a high profile game. Soldier 76 is a grumpy old man, Ana is a fierce older mom, Reinhardt and Torbjorn are like crazy old uncles, Mercy is older as well. Probably a quarter of the cast are looking

Color me intrigued. I like the idea behind being able to easily dock and undock a console into my big screen and take it with it me. As always though, it’ll come down to the launch library and overall usability/polish of the system. Let’s hope this console is more of a “Super Nintendo” than a “Wii.”
