Honestly, this is exciting news because it would undoubtedly be a challenge for him, and one that could help Affleck to improve as a director. He’s started to stagnate, IMO, with his films after Argo and this could be a good kick in the pants to get his creative juices working again. I hope he stays on and directs it

That’s what I was thinking too. There’s a lot of benefits to offering up a demo for a title like this, and it could easily help to sway more people who are interested, but unsure, in picking the game up.

That last part... That last part frustrates me to no end because a) earlier Assassin’s Creed games have found a way to blend this in, and b) they have Bernard Cornwell’s masterful handling of an OC in a historical period to look to from The Last Kingdom (which is even in the same period).

I read a lot of historical fiction, and many of the greats can blend the fantastical nature of the religious and mythological aspects of the time period with the factual. Assassin’s Creed is scared of both in ways that makes it feel like a jumbled mess, and really helps to sell part of why I find Immortals Fenyx

It was clever in Steins;Gate (the writer wrote Bravely Default too), but that was a visual novel and so you were reading it, not fighting through the same sets of bosses and enemies ad nauseum. Argh, the traumatic memories are all flowing back whenever I see this game.

That last part is the biggest struggle I’m having right now running Descent into Avernus. None of the characters would naturally become embroiled in the conflict of the book, and so getting them to go to hell has been... Interesting to say the least.

The drive-thru one is an especially solid reminder as it is really easy to just go “screw it, my car is my space” when driving (also glasses fogging while driving is a big danger zone in itself, so it is very easy to overlook the brief moments to just pull the mask back up).

Yeah... I don’t know if this really shows how stupid I can sometimes be, but when I first read that line, I took it as totally literal... She was some weird creature that we could cook if necessary for the sake of survival... Then I remembered that this game appeals to anime fans... And that innocence went away...

Honestly, I’m very interested in what DC is going to do here. As a Green Lantern fan (and a huge Miles fan), legacy titles being taken over by a diverse range of characters is nothing new to me and is honestly exciting to see how it is handled this time around. I’m already looking forward to the new Wonder Woman and

I always forget about the ESO character creator. That one does more: absolutely. But yes, it is rare, and it is disappointing.

I really like what I have seen of BG3's character creation tool. There are so many options, and I love how we can make our DnD characters without many restrictions (definitely understand the frustration on the hair side of things... I cannot begin to share my own problems with great hair being gender-locked depending

Yeah, Dragon’s Dogma is where this sort of representation starts and stops (and even then, isn’t perfect). We need more of this in games, and it is shocking we only have one major example of its presence.

As Kyle and John are my favourite Earth Lanterns, I’m disappointed to read that they won’t be involved in the show, but the rest of the line-up sounds awesome and I’m looking forward to seeing, especially with all that has gone on in the world lately, how they handle adapting the Green Lantern Corps to screen this

Yeah, it’s a great way to keep people playing, while minimizing the amount of work it takes the team to maintain. Allows them to move on to the next major aspect of the game that they want to continue developing.

As goofy as it is, because Disney is becoming noticeable for doing this, I do believe that this continued work towards some new way of defining the “princess” archetype is great. They’re trying out different things, failing at some, retaining certain elements in others, and creating new directions too. It’s all a good

To be fair, I think that’s what makes her killing him work so well for me in the comics. She was proven right, Clark couldn’t do it and Bruce had gone crazy with power himself. She made the call, and saved them all while “tarnishing” her reputation. That’s a real badass there.

That cross-save feature may have just sold this for me. As someone who has also been adoring the early access version of the game, this is exceptionally appealing.

Yeah, I can understand the worry here. While any creative work that was released before the past decade (and even then) can easily be argued to be dated to some extent or another, there is ambition and scope that these projects held that aren’t always acknowledged. Personally, I’m hoping to see comics learn a little

To be fair, there weren’t many good options period. Romance in Odyssey was bad. But it did diversify on that front. And as for Aya, I respect that opinion. I’m just curious if she would have been as dark skinned as Bayek if she had been the only lead, because we seem to default to white, or white passing, women when

I’m honestly really sick of the way people are downplaying the good they did with Bayek and Alexios for diversifying male characters in this crusade over the women in Assassin’s Creed. A positive black male lead, and a male lead who could be as gay as you wanted, without any impact to his “masculinity” are huge steps
