A lot of the reasons Korra was a mess came down to production/scheduling issues. It started as a limited even series, then got its episode order bumped up, then was renewed unexpectedy after production had finished for one more season, then that happened again after season 2 for two more seasons.

I realise I have the same opinion of Claptrap as Jack Black. I tend to imagine I find them more annoying than I do until I’m actually watching them on screen, then it's mostly a delight if not overdone.

I think the general setting could lend itself well to a story in other mediums, but the first game’s finale was such a ridiculous anticlimax it left a sour taste in my mouth even after the really fun sequel.

calling them “horrible distortions of reality.”"

Paul Giamatti is the same age as  Vin Diesel. I don't have anything else to add I just like bringing it up.

I May Destroy You surely deserves recognition for being great, but is it even eligible as a British production that was simply aired on US television?

Yeah is it really a reboot if it’s by the guy who made all of the previous movies?

The first like four are, after that it quickly becomes a mess.

Yeah it wasn’t really about The Muppets. Aside from the new one, none of them were the centre of the story. Only Christmas Carol managed to pull that off.

Pretty wild this wasn’t the first and only spin-off that entered into production. The rest all seem like big high concept gambles, but this is just... a smaller scale episodic concept with some existing material to build from, it’s an open goal.

He’s done plenty since New Girl ended tbf, but it is a shame to see him stuck on a mediocre sitcom I hadn’t heard of til you mentioned it. He was great in A Series of Unfortunate Events.

How much oil/fat are you supposed to use with cast iron skillets? I’ve tried seasoning them different ways but no matter what I end up with food just immediately stuck to the bottom and ending up as a big mess. People claim they essentially become non-stick but I’ve never been able to use them for anything besides

Never say never I guess! Probably about as likely as Harris being one, but kudos to whatever low level staffer put this together.

Snark aside, it’s clearly labeled the ‘biden + harris’ playlist, so I’m guessing the cool hip hop stuff is supposed to be her contribution or whatever?

Haha yeah I forget that’s even him cause of that very reason

I nearly walked out of The Master I found it so dull and off putting besides Hoffman, but pretty much all his other movies are gold. Phantom Thread is a real masterwork.

Oh aye. I have zero problem with Page still playing the part if they’re comfortable with it, or even if Clarice is recontextualised as trans and/or non-binary. Plenty of cis actors have taken roles as trans characters, and I believe Page is reprising his role in Umbrella Academy.

Because if it wasn’t for behind-the-scenes fuckery it would have been made in 2016/17, years before Page came out as trans, and at the time he was Fuller’s pick for the role.

He currently runs all of Star Trek, in a terrible way. Also his creative partner for this project Jenny Lumet was the screenwriter for that Mummy movie.
