I grew up about 90 minutes from the Dells and I remember them having tracks like that 25-30 years ago. I think the place was Big Chief or something like that. When I was there a few years ago, it was gone. I assume Mt Olympus swallowed it up.

I agree with that. Also stop having extended episodes where there is a couple of extra minutes of show and 15 more minutes of commercials.
One of my regrets visiting DC was not going to Arlington and seeing the changing of the guards. I was only ther for a short time but I think I would have rather skipped the White House or National Archives to see that.
I want to see three of the contenders crash out and retire in the first 10 laps of the race. The fourth one can run a few more laps to clinch the championship, pull into the garage, and drink beer and celebrate the rest of the race. Preferably the champion will have never won a race all year too because that would be…
It’s crazy to think that people can get in trouble for leaving their kids in the car while returning a shopping cart. I remember my parents leaving me in the car plenty of times back in the early 80's while they ran into a store.
I started to park near the cart corral whether or not my kid is with me. I figure people near the corral are more likely to return their carts so I don’t have to worry about a rogue cart hitting my car.
I’m convinced that the delay on the replay during CBS games was the ref waiting to hear what Mike Carey said on the broadcast and then ruling the opposite way.
Several years ago, my Mom’s dog was hit by a car and died. A few weeks later she was renting a movie and saw one with a cute, happy looking dog on the cover so she rented it. She had no idea what the movie was about. It was Marley and Me.
There are some weird ones out there like killed by a toddler with a gun or crushed by a vending machine which are both more likely than being killed by a refugee.
Many years ago at the USGP at Indy I saw a guy carrying out the entire front bumper cover from a support race Porsche. I always wondered how he got it and how much of a pain it had to be to carry around all day.
Separate blankets and a king size bed is the way to go.
There’s an intersection where I live that has two left turn lanes, two straight lanes, and one right turn lane. It drives me crazy how many people will dive across from the right turn lane or the second straight lane to get into the left turn lane. Did they think they could make a left turn from the right most lane?
I’ve started doing that, especially if I already have a larger bag checked. I don’t have to wait that long at baggage claim usually. Whenever possible, I try to just take a backpack on board. It’s so much nicer not wheeling a bag around airports.
I’m debating watching it tonight. On one hand, I’ve stuck with it this long so I figure I might as well watch. On the other hand it feels like a waste of time. I joke that someone could watch 4 episodes a season and still understand what’s happening. They could watch the season premiere, the midseason finale, the…
Growing up in La Crosse, WI, former home of Heileman’s Brewery, I remember a lot of people drinking Export Light. I also remember regular Special Export, which was in a green can, lovingly referred to as Green Death.
We had new Grand Am’s for our cars in the early 90's, which weren’t bad for a driver’s ed car. The driver’s ed cars had magnetic signs. The ancient retired teacher who came back in the summer to do the road part of driver’s ed wouldn’t let us go over 45 mph because he was afraid the signs would fly off the car.
Walmart has to be the worst. They reinstalled the self-checkout lines after pulling them out so it’s not as bad if you only have a couple of items. Otherwise it’s endless checkout lines with the thre registers that are open.
It has gone downhill. They used to be good. You used to be able to stack coupons on everything, use expired Kohl’s cash, and the “regular” prices weren’t jacked up so there were good deals. Now there are so many exclusions to what their coupons can be used on and the prices are marked up so much it’s almost pointless…
There was a chain called American in a few upper Midwest states that was the worst. They sold furniture, electronics and appliances. They always seemed to have way too many salesmen and they had to all be working on commission. There were constant salesmen bugging you, especially in the electronics section.
I did the calculations for a family trip to Orlando on Allegiant. After adding up all the fees, it wasn’t any cheaper than Delta. Plus Allegiant doesn’t land at the main Orlando airport.
