Play Limbo. Now.

One of my 10 favorite games of all time, bought it on Steam and then PS3. So brilliant.

It is clear that Final Fantasy has changed direction pretty significantly since I first encountered it in 1990, and that’s okay.

It’s also clear that I’m no longer the target market for the franchise, given its shift in focus/direction, and that’s okay too.

Here’s hoping everyone who’s looking forward to this game will

I’m still totally stoked for it, but this does seem like an odd choice for E3.

It looks amazing. The insta-changing suits are a bit odd though. They’re kinda jarring. The preview made it look a lot more organic, but this one shows that they just sorta pop between costumes.

Yeah, PlayStation games have always been weird about that. In general, US games use X for confirmation and O for cancellation, while Japanese games do the opposite. Many U.S. localizations of Japanese games swapped them, but some didn’t! It’s been a mess going as far back as the PS1 era.

Sure but those felt conceptually connected, you know? How does this go from cell to dog to robot looking thing? Regigigas *looks* like a combination of a bunch of rock-lookin’ Pokemon. Castform turns into a bunch of weather related stuff. I mean, those are still silly, but they make some sort of sense, too.
